Malaysia Asks Australia to Retract Travel Advisory on Sabah
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak hopes that Australia would retract the travel advisory as soon as possible because it was inaccurate.
“We can’t do anything if a foreign country wants to issue travel advisories but, in the case of Sabah, we’re sure the security situation there is under control, with many police and military personnel being deployed there. There are no untoward incidents happening in Sabah,”…
Najib, who is also Defense Minister also asked if Australia would share with Malaysia any information it had obtained on Sabah.
“Hopefully, Australia would inform Malaysia of the information it had obtained on Sabah and compare it with Malaysia’s assurance that Sabah was safe and there was nothing to be feared by anybody, including tourists”…
